Staging Tip #817

September 8, 2013

This trio of pictures is from a home I staged quite a while ago. I learned so much about staging and the homeowners were wonderful. Every house I stage makes me a little better at staging. Kind of like the piano: practice practice practice.

Check out the 1st picture on the left: The topiarys on the fireplace mantle lead your eye to the artwork on the mantle.

The middle picture shows 2 columns on either side of the entry to the dining room. In both pictures “symmetry” – the topiarys & the columns – bring your eye to the focal point of the room – the mantle and the dining room table.

This is an easy way to highlight the features of your home when you are staging it for sale. The 3rd picture on the right is an example of asymmetry. The shower curtain is pulled to one side.

FYI – When you stage a bathroom always use a white waffle weave shower curtain -try and say that fast 10xs!

Are you getting your house ready for sale? Let us know how it’s going and if you have questions, share them and maybe we can help..
